Must be proficient with the use of a PC to generate electronic daily activity security reports, incident reports, emails and other applicable electronic correspondence during the performance of duties. Promotes a safe environment by reporting safety hazards observed (broken water/sprinkler lines, burned out internal/external lighting, smoke/gas odors, tripping hazards, etc.) during the performance of security rounds. Appropriately adapts assigned client assessment, treatment and/or care methods to accommodate the physical, cultural, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each person served. Demonstrated competence with handgun, hand cuffs, baton, non-crisis intervention certification and two-way radios. Frequent exposure to aggressive behavior and emotionally charged situations. Specific Responsibilities The Corporate Security Technical Specialist is responsible for the design, programming, integration, and ongoing management of the company's physical security technology systems, with a strong focus on Access Control and Video Management Systems (VMS). This role will serve as a technical expert and field specialist, supporting enterprise-level security platforms, coordinating installations, and providing hands-on technical and operational support across multiple corporate and field locations. In addition to technical responsibilities, the specialist will support broader corporate security functions, including executive protection (EP), employee escorts, investigations, site security assessments, and assist the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). This position requires periodic travel to various company sites to perform system maintenance, support new installations, conduct site surveys, and assist with operational security needs. System Administration & Maintenance * Administer and maintain enterprise access control and video management systems, primarily Genetec Security Center, with secondary experience in Milestone and Lenel S2 platforms. * Oversee system configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and software updates. * Conduct regular system health checks, backups, and firmware maintenance. * Assist in managing vendor relationships and oversee integrator work for system deployments and service, including reviewing invoices. * Ensure all systems meet corporate IT and cybersecurity standards for networked devices. * Perform security technology assessments and coordinate with local site leadership on enhancements. The Part-Time Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of persons including Lee College employees, students, guests of/and visitors to the campus; the protection of college property, including buildings, grounds, equipment and other assets of the college. Under limited supervision, the SOC Security Officer provides security and protection of work site(s), personnel, and assets at the assigned job site.
