The Field Service Technician is primarily responsible for scheduled and remedial (break-fix) service on Small to Medium UPS, Power Distribution Units & Battery system products (2-120KVA) serviced by Vertiv, commensurate with appropriate classroom and on-the-job training. The Field Service Technician is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent rapport with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate. The Field Service Technician is primarily responsible to support products and services sold to our “Edge” market segment, including retail, financial, and municipal customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
ROLE

This organization has been operating since 1968 and has grown to multiple locations across the state. The equipment line ranges from small generators and concrete saws to skid loaders, forklifts, concrete pumps, and crane trucks.
This position will focus primarily on small-engine equipment such as generators, concrete saws, power buggies, water pumps, plate compactors, light towers, mixers, and similar machinery. Key Responsibilities Perform assigned maintenance and repair tasks with minimal supervision and within established timeframes. Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment for fellow employees. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools, test equipment, service manuals, and bulletins. Reference service manuals, parts catalogs, and technical resources to complete repairs accurately. Continuously improve technical knowledge and skills related to construction equipment maintenance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date personal and company documentation (e.g., CDL physical card, logs, timesheets). Plan and execute work efficiently and with attention to detail. Assist in checking or reviewing the work of junior or lower-level mechanics when needed. Supply and maintain the personal hand tools necessary to perform job duties. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in construction equipment or small-engine mechanical repair. Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing construction-related equipment. Your Impact
Pearce is seeking Experienced HVAC Technicians to join our team for servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment on telecom shelters located on Cell Tower Sites. Core Responsibilities
Maintaining commercial cooling systems - diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, or installing and replacing components of entire systems.
Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on HVAC equipment.
Performing additional maintenance or upgrades to out-of-season HVAC equipment.
Responding to service calls in a timely manner, including emergency call out services.
Timely and accurate completion of daily work reports.
Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.
Core Experience
Must be Level 2 or Universal EPA Certified (Required).
3+ years of experience with HVAC maintenance (commercial preferred).
Basic knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components including refrigeration systems is preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and by email.
Physical/Work Environment

Candidates should reside in the Waterloo, Iowa area.
Must be available for after-hours and weekend call outs on occasion.
Extensive daily travel in an independent work structure.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where your PLC and electrical expertise will make a real impact. No prior experience with digital printing? That's okay - we provide full training.
What You'll Do
Travel to customer sites across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico (100% travel after training).
Install, troubleshoot, and repair digital printing systems on corrugating machines.
Perform preventative maintenance, warranty interventions, and electrical service audits.
Read electrical schematics, calibrate equipment, and adjust drives, servos, and process controls.
Provide after-hours emergency support as needed.
Communicate with customers and complete service reports, timesheets, and expense records.
What We're Looking For
Strong electrical and PLC skills (troubleshooting, programming, controls).
Ability to read schematics and work with drives, servos, and process controls.
Previous experience as a field service or maintenance technician is preferred.
Technical/trade school or AA degree is a plus.
Comfortable working independently and directly with customers.
Physically able to lift 30+ lbs, climb ladders/stairs, and work in varied environments (hot, cold, heights, confined spaces).
Willingness to travel extensively (100% of the time after training).
