South Carolina Youth Advocate Program history
South Carolina Youth Advocate Program company history timeline
SCYAP was established in 1990 to provide out of home, specialized foster care for youth with special needs.
SCYAP has been nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) for Family Preservation & Stabilization Services (FPS), Foster Care (FC), and Kinship Care Services (KC) since 2002.
Established as a 501(c)(3) in 2008, Ticket to Dream is dedicated to providing hope and opportunity for foster children across the nation, so they can just be kids.
In 2015, The Duke Endowment awarded a $750,000 grant to support the work.
Since 2016, SCYAP has partnered with the Mattress Firm Foster Kids program, which is designed to make a positive impact on the lives of foster children in need by providing both in-kind and monetary contributions to non-profit foster care organizations.
