Description Operations Supervisor As the Operations Supervisor, you will oversee and supervise the inventory control and receiving teams, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt of product, as well as its integration into existing stock at the Orlando Distribution Center. You will also work with the Distribution Center Manager on personnel issues and the hiring of new associates. A Little About Your Day: You will: Prioritize job duties for the entire inventory control and receiving teams (around 5 associates in total) while working closely with other departments as needed to ensure new product is safely, efficiently, and accurately integrated into existing inventory. Oversee and manager the inventory control and receiving teams, providing coaching, guidance, and mentorship, resolving any issues that may arise. Work with department managers company-wide, including branch management associates, Sales, Purchasing, service and rental, and Operations Management, to ensure warehouse operations are operating in an effective and efficient manner as it pertains to the receiving of product and accuracy of inventory. Requirements BS in Manufacturing, Business or a related required; advanced degree or professional manufacturing certification(s) preferred 5+ years leadership experience with a large manufacturing organization Proven track record of building a team, supervising change, streamlining processes and driving safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements Strong working knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles; furniture industry experience preferred Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills. Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Working Relationship Communication is required across all levels of the organization- executive team, other functional leaders, subordinates and production floor workers. The Manufacturing Supervisor works under the immediate supervision of the General Manager. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift/move in excess of 50 lbs. at a time Stand, walk, stoop, and perform motions for an extended period PPE Safety glasses, ear plugs, and safety shoes are required. Other PPE may be required depending on the role. Safety This position expects to adhere to all safety rules to include the use of all require protective personal equipment (PPE). Specifically, eye and hearing protection must be worn at all times while in the production floor. The staff at the center monitor the shuttle fleet's operations, troubleshoot issues, and work with our technology partners to ensure consistent, comfortable rides for all our passengers. The Command Center Supervisor will oversee real-time operations of autonomous vehicles while managing a team of Command Center Agents and providing technical guidance on automated driving systems (ADS).
