  • Strategic Systems Analyst

    AWC Career 4.5company rating

Systems analyst job in Baton Rouge, LA

About You You're naturally curious and unafraid to challenge assumptions. You think in systems and processes, not silos, connecting business outcomes to technical solutions. You thrive on simplifying complexity, challenging and coaching others, and finding better ways to get work done through data and automation. You see repetitive manual work as a problem to solve, not accept. You enjoy exploring root causes and designing solutions that deliver measurable value, not just documenting what stakeholders request. About the Role The Systems Analyst is a hands-on problem solver and player-coach who bridges business goals and technical execution. This role blends analytical rigor, systems thinking, and solution leadership while owning outcomes from discovery through delivery. The Analyst will lead analytical discovery and own the end-to-end success of solutions, from requirements through post-deployment validation. This hybrid position emphasizes analytical thinking, structured communication, and collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to deliver solutions aligned with corporate objectives. The Analyst will act as a connector between stakeholders and development teams, focusing on requirements management, user story development, backlog support, and solution validation while contributing to strategic technology initiatives. How you'll make an impact Analysis & Solution Design Gather and document business requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders Challenge assumptions, explore root causes, and propose alternative solutions using structured analysis frameworks (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) Create, refine, and manage user stories and product backlog items Conduct cost/benefit analysis and support solution scoping efforts Participate in sprint planning and review meetings to ensure clear alignment with objectives Design and prototype business process improvements and data-driven solutions, leveraging automation where feasible.
