Day to day:

Key Responsibilities:
* Technical Support:
Troubleshoot system problems, offering solutions and/or recommendations to ensure timely issue resolution.
Provide technical assistance for application system upgrades and monitor changes to operating system software as directed.
* Performance Monitoring & Maintenance:
Analyze performance and implement improvements to ensure the stability of personal computers.
Proactively monitor and maintain personal computers and resolve user-reported issues.
* Hardware and Software Deployment:

* Conference Room A/V Support:

* Device Management:

Assist with depot operations as needed.
* Process Adherence:
Follow established IT operating procedures and systems best practices while ensuring compliance with service level targets.
Utilize tools like SMAX to manage, track, and resolve IT support tickets efficiently.
* Problem Analysis & Recommendations:
Analyze potential solutions and recommend the best course of action within your area of expertise.
Present findings and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
* Task Management:
Manage multiple assignments and escalations, prioritizing effectively to deliver solutions in a timely manner.

IT Support Specialist I
Technical assistant job in Des Moines, IA
Provides ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provides hardware/software support at the operating system-level across pre-defined server and network areas. Responsible for Level 1 basic level troubleshooting.
+ Implements routine changes on production systems per direction and guidance from Administrators.
+ Supports the integration of new technologies into existing infrastructure.
+ Resolves Level 1 incidents affecting the operation/availability of production systems, through troubleshooting and implementing known fixes.
+ Deploys standard repeatable build outs.
+ Supports the patching and maintenance of appropriate technologies (e.g. servers/databases/network/ storage/software solutions).
+ Supports routine backup strategies and disaster recovery tests.
+ Reviews system performance indicators and raises issues to more senior level team members.
+ Assists with monitoring vendors' release notes and contributes to the implementation of necessary upgrades and patches as required.

**Minimum Qualifications**
