YOUR ROLE
The General Maintenance Technician Intern is responsible for supporting the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds. 5. Bill of Materials (BOM) Oversight
· Work with Engineering to ensure BOM is finished and packaged for the customer.

6. Controls & Integration Support
· Collaborate with Controls Engineering to gather documentation for PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and communication protocols.

Job Summary and Qualifications
The OR Scrub Tech/Surgical Technologist Extern PRN works as a collaborative member of the SPD and Surgical Services team, following established protocols for cleaning, decontaminating, preparing and packaging, disinfecting or sterilizing, and storing medical and surgical supplies and equipment, and distribute medical and surgical supplies from sterile processing areas to other areas within the facility or health care organization as needed. You will also inventory, receive, and restock materials used for supporting sterile processing services.
* You will prepare and distribute surgical case carts according to physician's preference lists and anticipated needs of the perioperative team.
* Monitor, interpret, and document results of physical, chemical and biological indicators for all types of sterilizers used in the sterile processing areas.
* You will assist the OR staff in obtaining the appropriate instruments and equipment for surgical cases as requested.
* You will be alert to changes in schedule that require instrument set availability and prioritizes processing instrument sets accordingly.
* Assist the clinical staff as needed to locate required instrumentation or to complete instrument sets
* Assist in properly positioning the patient for the procedure in accordance with written protocol
* Set up equipment, ensuring proper operation of the equipment with first "trouble shooting" to prevent delays due to malfunctioning
* You will work closely with the OR staff to ensure rapid turnover of OR rooms
QUALIFICATIONS
* Currently enrolled in an accredited Surgical Technology Program (required)
* 1+ year of healthcare experience is preferred
* BLS or BCLS from either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire is required
