Essential Functions:
· Under the guidance of shop leadership or senior mechanics, assist with the inspection of brake systems, engine components, emission systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition.
· Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance including tire, oil and brake changes.
· Active participation in training classes and development opportunities to increase skills and working knowledge.
· Test drive trucks to diagnose malfunctions and ensure they are working properly.
· Under supervision, perform DOT, PM, brake and safety inspections on all vehicles. Perform PM and safety inspections.
· Complete work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily.
· Complete work as scheduled by shop supervision or higher-grade technicians.

Education, Training, Experience and Licensing/Certification Requirements:
· Entry-level knowledge/experience of at least 1+ years.
· Willingness to learn more complex diagnostic and repair process.
· Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related state and federal regulations.
· Ability to communicate effectively across various levels of the organization and communicate with customers and external vendors.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
· Experience using diagnostic software is preferred. Must be computer literate and willing and able to be trained in software systems.
· Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred, or the willingness and ability to obtain one within six (6) months of employment.
· ASE certifications preferred.

About the Role
Callahans Appliance is seeking professional and dependable Appliance Repair Technicians to join our teams in Prosper, Fort Worth, and Southmayd. This position is responsible for in-home diagnosis and repair of major household appliances. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical ability, clear communication, and a commitment to quality service.
As a key part of our customer service mission, technicians are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, accuracy, and courtesy while working both independently and within a team.

Primary Responsibilities
Accurately diagnose and repair a wide range of household appliances in customer homes
Communicate clearly with customers, explain repair needs, provide cost estimates, and collect payments
Update job statuses, document work performed, and maintain thorough notes in the service system
Identify opportunities for additional service needs
Assist with related tasks or training as needed
Maintain proper inventory of parts and tools within the service vehicle
Requirements
Valid drivers license and clean driving record
Must be at least 18 years of age
Proficiency using tablets, apps, and digital service platforms
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to stand, walk, reach, kneel, climb, and crouch throughout the workday
Prior appliance repair experience preferred but not required for the right candidate
Work Environment
Each day begins with reviewing schedules, collecting parts, and preparing for field service appointments. Overview
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented RV Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will diagnose, inspect, repair, and overhaul recreational vehicles-ranging from travel trailers to motorized units. You will work on systems including gas, electrical, hydraulic, plumbing, chassis, and may specialize in generators, appliances, or interior components.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Repair
Diagnose and troubleshoot RV systems and components across multiple trades.
Perform functional repairs and install replacement parts to meet quality standards.
Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure vehicles are ready for customer handoff.
Systems & Structural Work
Repair and maintain propane gas and electric appliances.
Handle fiberglass, body, and structural repairs.
Install, repair, and maintain roofs, siding, windows, doors, vents, awnings, and flooring.
Electrical & Plumbing
Service 12V and 110V electrical systems, including batteries and wiring.
Maintain and repair RV plumbing and water systems.
Documentation & Communication
Read and write clear repair orders, documenting parts used and work performed.
Communicate effectively with Service Advisors, Parts team, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
General Support
Use service manuals, parts catalogs, and digital resources to research technical issues.
Assist with department clean-up and tool maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years' hands-on experience in RV, automotive, or related trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing).
Familiarity with hitch installation and brake controller setup.
Basic electrical knowledge of 12V and 110V systems.
RVIA/RVIT certification (or equivalent RV maintenance experience).
Strong hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
Proficient in reading tape measures and using hand/power tools.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to work weekends and in un-climate-controlled environments.
Physical Requirements
Regularly stand, walk, reach, and use hands and arms to handle tools and parts.
Frequently sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Lift and/or move up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 15 lbs frequently, and up to 25-50 lbs occasionally.
