They need a strong wrench turner who also has electrical and PLC knowledge and maintenance capabilities. They have 28 maintenance people across three shifts, and you will be assigned to a particular part of the facility and be responsible for those maintenance activities first. You will also assist in other areas of the plant as needed. This is a 2nd shift role, in a union plant that works from 2:30 to 11 PM, at times you may be asked to cover for 1/2 of another technicians shift before or after your shift, if they are out sick or on vacation, but you will not work more than a 12 hour shift. There is plenty of OT both on your shift and on the weekends, and you could work 20 or more hours/week if you want to. There are plenty of takers for this, so much of it is not mandatory, but at times it will be. On average, you can expect at least 10 hours of OT/week. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Generate and complete work orders to ensure materials are available from the parts room.
