Under general supervision this position involves technical and skilled labor in the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems on City property. Minimum Qualifications: * Equivalent to a high school diploma * One (1) year of experience in maintenance equipment operation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience that would likely produce the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. * Valid driver License equivalent to a New Mexico Class D. Licenses and Certificates: * Must have Line Service Fuel Technician Certificate (or able to obtain within 6 months). * FAA. AAE certification preferred. * Training in Wildlife Hazard Management preferred Knowledge of: * Municipal organization operations, policies and procedures. * Navigational Aids (NAVAIDs). * FAA/AAR rules and regulations as set forth for 14CFR part 139. * Gasoline and diesel engines. * Basic electrical and plumbing techniques. * Airport operating protocols, systems, laws, rules and regulations. * Airport after-hours emergency plan procedures. * Methods, tools, materials, and practices used in general maintenance/construction techniques. * Federal, state, county, and local regulations pertaining to airport management, operations, maintenance, security and safe work practices. * Radio communication procedures and techniques utilized in an airport movement area, as well as public safety communications procedures. * Industry standards, methods and practices for storage, dispensing and testing of aviation fuels. * Federal and state environmental regulations pertaining to operation of underground storage tanks. * Environmental regulations for hazardous materials and spills. * Techniques and practices for efficient and cost-effective management of resources. * Techniques and practices for efficient and cost-effective management of resources. Skills in: * Use, maintenance and care of heavy and light equipment. * Operation of personal computers utilizing standard and specialized software. * Communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Working Conditions Work typically performed outdoors at airport sites and facilities. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. Occasional work beyond normal business hours. Required to work on slippery or uneven surfaces, airborne particles, potentially toxic and/or caustic chemicals, and extreme temperatures, work around traffic. Use of safety shoes, glasses and other equipment is required. Position is subject to drug testing and regular driver's license monitoring in accordance with applicable State and Federal regulations and City of Clovis policies.

This Opportunity WSP is currently recruiting for an Environmental Remediation Technician to support our Texas remediation services Team. The position will be tied to our El Paso, Texas office but we will consider staff living in the Texas Panhandle, Permian Basin area or other locations in West Texas or Eastern New Mexico. The ideal candidate will have 5 years' proven experience in performing troubleshooting, repair and upgrades of existing remediation systems as well as experience with groundwater monitoring and soil sampling programs. Alternatively, a degree in engineering and two years of experience with remediation systems will be considered. Your Impact * Supporting groundwater treatment system operations and maintenance. * Assisting with the implementation of environmental soil and groundwater sampling programs. * Field documentation - daily field notes, monitoring logs, O&M inspection logs, entry of data into spreadsheets and/or tablets * Routine travel and physical field work required collecting samples, moving pumps and hoses, etc. * Other duties as assigned by Environmental Leads Who You Are Required Qualifications * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent * Minimum 5 years proven experience in performing troubleshooting, repair and upgrades of existing remediation systems as well as experience with groundwater monitoring and soil sampling programs * Or an engineering degree and 2 years' experience conducting system operations and/or monitoring * Ability to multi-task and prioritize evolving project requirements for multiple ongoing projects * Able to work in a high-pressure environment with tight delivery deadlines * Demonstrated ability to work independently and properly document field data * Proven communication skills * Team oriented * Detail oriented * You are able to lift 50 lbs, and conduct other physically strenuous tasks such as removing pumps, etc. * Experience working with MS Word, Excel, and all programs under MS Office * Valid driver's license * Ability to work independently * Travel will be approximately 50-75% #LI-AC2
