ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an entry level Mechanical Maintenance position. Performs various tasks associated with the inspection, root cause failure analysis and repairs of mechanical systems. This includes preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Performs tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systems throughout the plant.
Work with contractor personnel and ensure quality control as well as productivity.
Participates in formal and on-the job training programs to acquire/broaden both technical and non- technical job skills; participates in cross training activities.
Interacts with members of Process Areas on a regular basis to gather or communicate information, solve problems, etc.
Assists with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment. Services and lubricates plant equipment as required.
Suggests programs that reduce/contain costs and/or increase productivity. Takes independent action to resolve problems when appropriate.
Participates in team meetings.
Works rotating shift schedule and weekends as assigned.
Supports other plant functions as assigned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education: High school diploma
Additional Education: Two years technical college in a related subject is preferred.
Required Work Experience: 2-4 years industrial experience as a millwright is required. Experience with rebuilding gear boxes, shaft alignment on heavy industrial equipment, bearing installation is desired.
Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of overall cement plant operations or comparable heavy industrial environment is preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.

Purpose
The Condition Monitoring Technician uses predictive and proactive maintenance tools and techniques to provide the manufacturing facility with information relevant to understanding and optimizing rotating, reciprocating, fluid system, and electrical system health. The position requires data collection, analysis, and reporting of machine issues, along with recommended corrective actions, as part of a proactive maintenance strategy. This role interacts with other reliability team members, third-party vibration analysts, site operations, maintenance, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct monitoring and analysis activities of plant wide vibration data received through normal route-based collection and local/remote wireless monitoring
* Install and maintain vibration analysis hardware
* Interact with and update third-party software platforms and internal CMMS
* Perform data collection and analysis as needed to support equipment troubleshooting
* Collaborate with other work groups, including maintenance, operations, engineering, and regional team members to help develop an effective and suitable path forward for equipment issues
* Participate in cause for loss (CFL) investigations, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), reliability centered maintenance efforts (RCM), and other asset strategy optimization initiatives as directed by the Reliability Manager
* Apply expertise in precision maintenance practices across suitable mill assets
* Execution of predictive maintenance strategies including, but not limited to, vibration analysis, airborne and structure-borne ultrasound, infrared thermography, and fluid analysis (e.g., oil analysis)
* Execute lubrication activities (specifically ultrasonic lubrication) in accordance with assigned work orders
* Cross-train site team members in predictive and proactive maintenance practices as directed by Reliability Manager and site training plan
* Maintain accurate maintenance electronic documentation including labor hours and preventive and predictive maintenance findings
* Generate work requests and execute work orders in accordance with Roseburg reliability procedures
* Work with operations and maintenance teams to identify and prioritize reliability and maintenance needs
* Help meet or exceed production, quality, and reliability goals by supporting best maintenance and reliability practices
* Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

Required Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED

NATURE OF WORK
