Candidates must be regularly available a minimum of 3 weekdays to be considered. Call volume is variable but is usually 2-5 calls per day You will complete certifications from Dell and Lenovo as part of your onboarding. Certifications are online and free to you. You must have a reliable form of transportation and a valid driver's license to run these calls. You will be visiting multiple work sites throughout your day. You must have access to a computer and the Internet to log onto your portal each day. You must be available to log into your tech portal each morning you are working by 9 am to code your calls and map out your route for the day. The manufacturer has completed troubleshooting and shipped a part prior to your ticket being issued to you. You will confirm service times with the customer in your tech portal. Services will be completed at the customer site (residential and commercial) You will pick up parts daily from the assigned Fed Ex or UPS store for your territory before going onsite. Once all calls are completed for the day drop off the old parts with the pre-paid label that is provided. This position bridges basic repair work and advanced Complex Rehab Technology (CRT), serving as a key technical partner to Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs), rehab specialists, and clinical teams. This role provides increasing autonomy, technical challenge, and a clearly defined career pathway into senior technician, leadership, and ATP roles. Essential Duties & Responsibilities This role goes beyond basic assembly. You will: Diagnose & repair power and manual wheelchairs Assemble and modify custom rehab & adaptive equipment Perform field service calls, deliveries, and setups Coordinate: Parts ordering Loaner equipment Repair documentation & billing compliance Collaborate directly with: Assistive Technology Professionals (ATPs) Rehab specialists Clinical teams Maintain: Inventory accuracy Warehouse organization Service workflow efficiency You'll work independently, but never unsupported. Work involves vision inspection machines and specialty inspection equipment. Locates and diagnoses failures and troubleshoots equipment. Performs repair, replacement, adjustment, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and office facilities. DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits Lockout/tag-out, PPE, sling and rigging MIG Welding Measuring Equipment - tapes, scales, micrometers, calipers, etc. Electrical Maintenance - tracing circuits, wiring diagrams, pulling wire, transducers, Plc Diagnostics, Plc Programing, 12-24 Ac/Dc, single phase 120v 220v 240v, 208v to 480v three phase Mechanics - equipment installation, calibration, pumps, bushings, bearings, shafts, seals, alignment, various pipe fittings Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery (Utilize E-Maint for record keeping) Inspect equipment to detect defects or malfunctions Observe work and monitor gauges, dials and other indicators to ensure that machine operate at maximum output. If not running at documented parts per minute, identify and communicate the root cause Lubricate machinery, change parts or perform other routine maintenance Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs Install, replace or change machine parts and attachments, according to production specifications. Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes or hoists Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work Record production, repair and machine maintenance information (Excel, E-Maint) Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts or equipment (with machine operators and/or engineering) Work closely with Inspection Supervisor to understand when production orders are due Continually monitor reject rate percentage and empty nest and react accordingly for over and under calling specific features Determine if the vision machine has issues or if the parts coming from molding are defective Train new vision machine operators and work with Inspection Supervisor to determine performance OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to understand and communicate with and through drawings Speak to others to convey information effectively (via verbal or email communication) Ability to troubleshoot and use logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions to problems Use problem-solving and root-cause analysis Maintain facility and make repairs as needed Experience with various hand tools including but not limited to saws, drills and reamers Ability to drive a forklift and maintain a valid certification MINUMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or equivalent Three years of experience with maintenance in a manufacturing environment A valid driver license with a clean driving record Ability to be on-call and work overtime as needed Electrical PLC/control panel experience preferred Excellent “can-do” attitude with ability to work well with a team or independently with various degrees of supervision Benefits include Medical, dental, and vision insurance plus a 401K.
