Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. · Identifies and sources parts, supplies and repair items as necessary. Performs evaluations of alternatives to improve cost and / or reliability of equipment.
· Independently performs maintenance as per industry standards.
· Works with customer counterparts to optimize maintenance, reliability, and preventative maintenance procedures.
· May be required to setup and operate multiple machining operations including but not limited to: lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts. May perform welding tasks.
· Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes
· Documents work performed in service reports, applicable management systems, and written explanation regarding observation and collected equipment performance data.
· Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to project teams. Performs expert functions as a part of training and development.
· Troubleshoots and analyzes complex control systems to resolve in-depth software/ hardware and configuration problems.
· Utilizes advanced maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data. Observes trends and makes recommendations.
· Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development.
· Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
· High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
· Associates degree with a Technical focus and 10 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 12 years of experience in specific industry.
· Possesses comprehensive understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze the problem, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.
· Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.

JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, responsible for preventive and/or demand maintenance and repair of the hybrid fiber coax network (HFC) including all of its associated equipment in accordance with the company's Engineering Standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
May perform any or all of the following duties of the Broadband Rep/Associate/Specialist/Professional (BT-I, II and III and IV)
Troubleshoot and repair basic distribution problems associated with RF, AC, DC portions of the forward and reverse plant
Troubleshoot and repair basic problems associated with the optical portion of the forward and return plant
Perform routine node optimization, balancing, aligning, and adjustment of components and equipment used to amplify and process signals
On a regular basis test all HFC network components using test equipment including but not limited to signal level meters, volt-ohm meters, spectrum analyzers, optical power meter, leakage detector, OTDR and other related test equipment. Record and update documentation, compare findings in the field with existing documentation and adjust and repair accordingly
Perform routine maintenance on standby power supplies in accordance with the preventative maintenance program and update all associated documentation
Monitor, record, and repair signal leakage
Comply with regulatory requirements. Compile data for inclusion in FCC and other regulatory reports Maintain accurate records including time worked, daily logs, gas sheets, as required; properly record all required information on data devices and/or work orders, surveys, referrals, etc.
Operate communications device in accordance with company policies
Communicate with appropriate departments to update progress during outage restoration and maintenance activities
Operate Company vehicle in a safe and responsible manner. Clean, maintain, stock and secure assigned vehicle and equipment, in accordance with company policies

🔍 Diagnosing & Repairing Pool Equipment
Troubleshoot, repair, and install pool equipment such as filters, pumps, heaters, timers, and High End Pool Automation systems 🛠️
Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent breakdowns
Handle warranty service and repairs, following company procedures
📞 Customer Service & Communication
Be the face of Aqua Blue Pools! Provide professional and courteous service to customers, ensuring their questions are answered
Communicate with customers before and after service visits to set expectations and explain the work performed
Identify and recommend additional services as needed to keep pools running at their best
Ensure every customer is left happy and confident in their pool's condition
📋 Documentation & Reporting
Keep detailed records of all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and follow-up needs
Take before-and-after photos of equipment and site conditions for documentation (and customer peace of mind) 📸
Update work orders daily, ensuring jobs are marked completed, rescheduled, or requiring follow-up
🚚 Inventory & Equipment Management
Perform daily truck inventory checks to ensure you have the right tools and parts before heading out
Remove and document warranty items and ensure proper inventory tracking
Sign out and return parts/tools used on each job to maintain accurate invoicing and stock levels
🛠️ Problem Solving & Escalation
If a job requires additional expertise, escalate it to the Service Coordinator or Service Manager
Work efficiently while ensuring quality craftsmanship-we want it done right the first time!
Participate in training sessions to stay up to date on new equipment and industry best practices
🚦 Teamwork & Daily Operations
Attend morning meetings to review job assignments and discuss key updates
Maintain open communication with the Service Coordinator and warehouse team throughout the day
Follow the Service Customer Journey SOP to provide a consistent, high-quality experience

What will you be doing?
As a Field Technician, you will be representing DISH in customers' homes daily. We build our value by simplifying lives and using the DISH install to consult homeowners on their infinite smart home possibilities.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
All technicians must have:
Aptitude to build rapport quickly. We want you to have a great time servicing our clients
Ability to work at heights, including ladders up to 40 feet, and in all weather conditions
Ability to lift over 70 lbs
A valid driver's license in the state you are seeking employment with a driving record that meets DISH's safety standard
Travel may be required
Salary Range
Compensation: $20.25/Hour

Keep our communities connected As a Broadband Network Technician (BT IV-V) at Vyve Broadband, you'll take the lead on maintaining, optimizing, and repairing the infrastructure that powers the internet and TV experience for entire neighborhoods. This role combines advanced field diagnostics with leadership guiding junior techs, restoring service during outages, and proactively maintaining the HFC plant to prevent issues before they start.
You'll be the front line of uptime solving challenges others can't, in an environment that values your expertise and rewards your commitment with tools, training, and a clear path to grow.
What You'll Do
Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of the hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) network, including RF, AC, DC, and optical systems.
Optimize network performance through node balancing, alignment, and signal calibration.
Monitor and mitigate signal leakage; ensure full compliance with FCC and local regulations.
Maintain documentation and perform scheduled maintenance on standby power supplies.
Lead or mentor lower-tier technicians (BT I-III) on field best practices and customer service.
Support outage restoration efforts with clear communications to teams and dispatch.
Maintain and safely operate a company vehicle and equipment.
Record and submit job logs and documentation using mobile devices or work order systems.
What You Bring
BT IV certification or equivalent work experience.
6+ months as a Broadband Technician III or equivalent field network experience.
Ability to splice coax and fiber optic cable.
Proficiency with signal meters, spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, volt-ohm meters, and leak detectors.
Strong understanding of HFC and IP networks.
Experience reading and interpreting system maps and schematics.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather, on ladders, in confined spaces, and during on-call rotations.
Physical & Work Conditions
Comfortable working at heights on poles or ladders (up to 32 feet).
Able to lift up to 70 pounds and carry tools and ladders across various terrain.
Occasional night and weekend work during outages or maintenance windows.
Work in attics, crawl spaces, and near power lines as needed.

Track and report usage of parts and tools to ensure proper inventory management.
Problem Solving & Professional Development:
Escalate complex issues to the Service Coordinator or Service Manager as needed.
Maintain high standards of craftsmanship and efficiency.
Participate regularly in professional training sessions to remain knowledgeable about industry developments and equipment.
Team Collaboration:
Actively participate in daily meetings to discuss assignments and share important updates.
Maintain clear communication with the Service Coordinator and warehouse staff throughout daily operations.
Consistently adhere to established customer service standards and procedures.
Position Requirements:
Minimum age of 23 years with a valid South Carolina Driver's License and clean driving record
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and standing or bending for extended periods
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn
HVAC or relevant technical knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory
