JOB SUMMARY: The Telecommunications Installer DC (Level III) will work on the addition or removal of wiring and connections on working and non-working DC power equipment. Responsible for weekly tool inventory, writing and submitting the MOP (Method of Procedure) and JIM (Job Information Memorandum). Responsible for timesheet for self and crew, safety adherence, and jobsite house cleaning. This role will report to the Region Service Manager. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Telecommunications Installer DC (Level III), you will: Lead small to medium sized service projects. On-time completion and quality of the installation project. This role will provide guidance to a leadership team of a crew supervisor and four construction field managers who oversee 3 foreman with 42 covered employees, roughly 40 contract resources, 5 test technicians, 3 inspectors and an analyst working statewide. In addition, they will also be responsible for a crew supervisor with three foremen who oversee 39 covered employees. It is anticipated that this position will oversee roughly $7M in annual contractor spend for the foreseeable future. The Manager will conduct ongoing performance management and ensure robust plans for leadership development in support of an active learning environment. This position interfaces with Training and Safety to support the initial and ongoing training within Substation Construction. Ensure doorways, elevators, and hallways are sufficient to allow equipment transport to installation site. • Perform installation of STERIS products, including, but not limited to: uncrating; assembling; setting or lifting product into place; leveling; connecting utilities; and testing unit. • Complete service documentation electronically. • Ensure Customer satisfaction through post-installation activities to include disposal of all associated packing and shipping crate material, ensuring equipment is wiped down and fingerprints are removed, and addressing any questions/issues before leaving the site. What you will need to be qualified for this position • High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of recent mechanical experience in a construction or HVAC installation/repair field or Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical or similar degree, plus 1+ year(s) of related mechanical experience. • Plumbing and electrical experience strongly preferred. • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills. • Excellent interpersonal and Customer communication skills (verbal and written). • Proficiency in computers and Windows software. • Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities. • Ability to work flexible hours, sometimes outside “normal business hours” and travel extensively to support business needs. • Valid driver's license with clean driving record. • Must be able to be compliant with hospital/customer credentialing requirements. • Position requires lifting (up to 110 lbs.), bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and twisting.
