Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service
* Greet customers and provide assistance in a friendly and professional manner.

Transaction Processing
* Process customer deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and account transfers.
* Verify customer identities and ensure transaction accuracy.
* Balance cash drawers and maintain proper records of all transactions.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable banking policies, procedures, and regulations.
Cash Handling
* Accurately count, handle, and safeguard cash and other negotiable instruments.
* Detect counterfeit currency or suspicious transactions and report them to the appropriate authorities.
Account Management
* Assist customers with account inquiries, including balances, statements, and transaction history.
* Support customers in completing forms for various banking requests (e.g., stop payments, account closures).
* Process loan payments and assist with basic loan inquiries.
Sales and Referrals
* Identify opportunities to promote additional bank services and products that meet customer needs.
* Refer customers to other departments (e.g., loans, investments, credit) when appropriate.
Compliance and Security
* Ensure all transactions are completed in compliance with the bank's policies and legal regulations.
* Maintain the confidentiality of customer information.
* Report suspicious activities or potential fraud.
Administrative Tasks
* Maintain accurate records and documentation of all transactions.
* Assist with reconciling daily transactions and balancing the cash drawer.

Job Summary: The Teller is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately and efficiently processing daily transactions for customers, and making referrals of all bank products and services. Promotes an environment of teamwork within the department and across the bank. Represents INTRUST Bank in all they do in the community and is focused on the development of new business relationships. Must maintain strict standards of confidentiality and perform duties in a manner supporting INTRUST's character qualities.
Essential Functions:

Reporting Relationships

Essential Functions and Accountabilities
Receive and process transactions as noted.
Greet and direct members and telephone calls to appropriate staff.
Provide general credit union information.
Assist MSS's as needed with member service solutions.
Cross-sell all credit union services as appropriate.
Identify member financial needs and offer products, services and solutions to meet those needs, including added-convenience products, sales referrals, and alternate access channels.
Provide excellent member service.
Process cash transactions at the window, including deposits, cash withdrawals, money orders, traveler's checks, check withdrawals, payments, and other transactions as requested by the members.
Prove cash at the end of the day. Order cash daily to maintain proper balance in denominations of currency and coin to carry on daily business.
Handles mail payments and deposits.
Assist other departments when necessary.
Assure proper maintenance, cleanliness, and security of work area, desk, equipment, etc.
Perform other duties as required by supervisors.
