Territory: Shreveport, LA Essential Duties and Responsibilities* * Achieve individual territory sales goals as approved by Esperion Commercial Leadership * Review performance metrics with RSM to ensure territory is achieving maximum sales results. * Develop and maintain strong business relationships with key customers in the assigned geography * Effectively promote and educate Health Care Providers (HCPs) on the use of Esperion products through one-on-one meetings, virtual engagements, company-approved promotional speaker programs, and other company-approved programs * Analyze local market trends, develop, execute and monitor performance and results to maximize the appropriate use of Esperion products * Demonstrate successful use of sales and marketing tools and resources such as to achieve business objectives. * Demonstrate and maintain appropriate knowledge of Esperion product payor coverage to deliver against market access objectives for the assigned territory * Periodically attend local, regional and national congresses to promote Esperion brands to HCP attendees * Demonstrate accurate and timely completion of all administrative tasks such as sample inventory, call submission & reporting, expense management, vehicle mileage reporting, and related duties as required by Esperion * Ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, completing all required compliance training, and consistently demonstrating behaviors aligned with company values * Follow all Esperion Expense Report guidelines and adhere to allocated territory budget * Establish and maintain effective communications among Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Territory Managers (TMs); organize and monitor performance to achieve the business potential of the Territory * Monitor and strive to maintain consistency between Sales and Marketing efforts and ensure high standards for executing business initiatives * Work closely with sales leadership and Market Access to maximize pull-through from commercial & government payers * Ability to maintain vendor credentialing requirements for entities such as VendorMate and RepTrax in order to maintain access to customer locations. * additional duties and responsibilities as assigned Qualifications (Education & Experience) * Bachelor's degree required. Preferred degree in sciences (eg. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Kinesiology, Pre-med, other STEM background) and 1 - 3 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience; or equivalent education and experience. * Will also consider candidates with military background or similar experience demonstrating drive and discipline. * Experience calling on or working with Healthcare Professionals preferred but not required. * Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% including overnight stays for territory business and occasional Regional and National Sales Meetings * Valid driver's license and clean driving record that meets Esperion employment standards * Documented track record of consistent high performance in sales, academics, athletics, or other similar endeavours. * Desire to work in a start-up environment or successful experience operating in an entrepreneurial sales model with sole responsibility of product promotion within a large geographic territory * Ability to embrace a performance driven and growth culture. * Passionate about the mission and reputation of the Company * Demonstrated excellent presentation and communication skills. * Ability to influence and work successfully with varied audiences, including customers, colleagues, scientific and technical leaders * Strong interpersonal and selling skills
