Minimum Requirements

Have been certified by a certain qualified professional in the psychiatric or psychological fields chosen by this agency to be free of all apparent mental disorder as described in the current edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association that would, in the judgment of the examiner, impair the subject's ability to perform any essential function of the job; and,
8.
Must have good moral character as determined by a thorough investigation conducted by the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office; and,
9.
Must have a set of fingerprints on file with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation; and,
10.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment voice stress analysis for the detection of deception.

Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and clients when necessary.
Accurately document all incidents, observations, and activities in detailed manner to include any suite HVAC units running in the offseason.
Work weekends and Holiday as needed.

THE ROLE
Chetola Resort is seeking a professional and reliable Overnight Security Guard (10 PM - 6 AM) to ensure the safety, security, and peace of mind of our guests, employees, and property during the late evening and overnight hours. This role plays a vital part in upholding our resort's reputation as a safe, welcoming environment for all who visit and work here. As the first in-person point of contact for many guests arriving late at night, you set the tone for their stay. Whether offering a friendly greeting, assisting with directions, or providing reassurance after a long journey, you ensure that every guest feels cared for and at home from the moment they arrive.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Guest Welcome & Support
Serve as the first in-person welcome for arrivals, greeting every guest with warmth and professionalism
Provide directions, answer questions, and offer assistance to ensure a smooth arrival experience
Respond to guest concerns or issues with professionalism and discretion
Maintain a calm, approachable presence that reassures guests and staff alike
Safety & Security Oversight
Patrol all resort grounds, parking areas, and facilities
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to maintain a secure environment
Conduct regular checks of doors, windows, and public spaces to ensure safety
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or unusual activity
Operations & Reporting
Document guest interactions, incidents, and activity in detailed reports
Communicate effectively with management and emergency services when required
Assist with emergency response procedures, including evacuations and medical calls
Enforce resort policies in a respectful and guest-centered manner
