Nonprofits are always limited on resources, but UWGC does a good job of still serving its employees well with benefits and salary.
Extremely generous time off, especially around the holidays with a closed office for almost two full weeks. It allows a great reset for families and employees.

In my experience, there are no particular cons for working with United Way. We are a passionate organization here for the community, and understands it takes a collaborative effort for community partners, board members and stakeholders.

I prepared for an interview with United Way by understanding first their mission, vision, and values and making sure my work, experience and expertise were aligned with theirs. I prepared by understanding the needs of our community and especially the needs of the youth in our community.
