Steven has spent most of his career being involved in the creation and growth of new technologies such as digital cellular radio in the 1980s and fostering the development of sustainable environmental technologies in the first half of the 1990s. Steven received his J.D. from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (1979), his M.A. in International Relations and Philosophy of Science from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio (1975), and his B.A. in International Relations from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania (1973). He also serves on the boards of a number of charitable and educational organizations.
