Minimum Qualifications: The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a terminal degree in exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, or a closely related area. Candidates nearing completion of the terminal degree may be considered; however, all requirements for conferral of the degree must be met no later than the start date. Candidates must have the ability to successfully teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise physiology. They must demonstrate a line of professional and scholarly inquiry as evidenced by submission of peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations commensurate with academic experience. Responsibilities:
This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. These include:
* Delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses in identified areas of need within the department (e.g., Exercise Physiology, Principles of Strength and Conditioning, etc.)
* Developing an independent line of scholarship leading to peer-reviewed publications and professional presentations
* Mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, including serving on master's culminating project committees
* Contributing to the goals of the department and university through service on committees and working collegially with faculty

The Instructor is responsible for teaching all science/maker curriculum for elementary-aged school children. They train on all EDMO curriculum and will teach 4 periods of enrichment. This year's maker themes include: Dinosaurs, Chemistry, Forensics, Earth Science, Engineering, Art and Movie Making. Instructors should be prepared for a summer filled with personal and professional growth, classroom management practice, and a whole lot of FUN! The Department:
Our program specializes in seeking to interrogate intra and inter group conflict, micro and macro social forces, and qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. In all of our classes, students both learn and practice theory to better map and understand the social world. The Sociology Department has two undergraduate programs: an on-campus program, and a parallel Distance Education program. We have more than 550 majors, 70% of which are Distance Education students from a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and geographical locations around California. We emphasize upper-division course offerings, but offer several lower-division courses as part of the General Education program for the campus, as well as contribute courses to several of the upper-division GE Pathways.
