Essential Job Functions:

* Successfully complete a criminal background check with fingerprinting, drug test, and nationwide healthcare fraud and abuse scan, and fulfill clinical requirements.
* Ability to learn the Parkland information system and new programs as technology changes.

The metabolic testing laboratory is equipped with a HUMAC Norm isokinetic dynamometer, two treadmills, and a Parvo metabolic cart. The body composition laboratory is equipped with additional ultrasound machines and a Hologic Horizon DEXA System. [MH1] Other research laboratories include two biochemistry and cell culture laboratories, equipped with centrifuges, biosafety cabinets, chemical fume hoods, incubators, -20 degree Celsius freezers, flammable refrigerators, water purification system, and lab benches with vacuum and compressed air connectors. The three biospecimen collection sites include phlebotomy chairs and hospital beds designed for long-term studies. Other facilities include a fully equipped metabolic kitchen and an observation room.
