The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Elizabethton is accepting applications for the part-time position of AdjunctInstructor in Practical Nursing with rotating campuses, Kingsport, Boones Creek, and Elizabethton. Practical Nursing AdjunctInstructors are responsible for teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom/lab and off-campus clinical settings; evaluating and advising students; maintaining records and completing reports; participating in the development of the program, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Clinical Education.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Must hold active licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee; BSN preferred.
* Minimum three (3) years of experience in the nursing field within the last five (5) years.
* Minimum three (3) years current clinical nursing experience.
* Teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred.
* Instructor must have sincere interest in teaching and nursing, enjoy working with people, and have the ability to deal tactfully with people.
* Instructor must have a high standard of personal and professional ethics and possess an understanding and appreciation of the role and scope of the school and program purpose.

General Duties:
The adjunct practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Director of Clinical Education along with the PN faculty, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating, and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting. In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student's progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students' clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners. The adjunctinstructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college's service area. Some travel is required.
Salary: $30 per hour/Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.

A primary specialization under Hospitality and Tourism Management can include Event / Entertainment Management, Tourism and Destination Management, Culinary Arts and a secondary specialization in areas such as Accounting, Finance, Technology Management, Information Technology, and Information Systems is preferred, though candidates with expertise in other fields within business or hospitality and tourism management will also be considered. Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:
Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.

Requirements
3+ years' experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. Summary: The School of Arts and Sciences at Montreat College seeks a full-time onsite faculty member in the Cybersecurity Department to join a growing and dynamic faculty team. Montreat College's cutting-edge and visionary Cybersecurity program prepares students to solve the cybersecurity issues and concerns faced today in many corporate and government environments. This program's foundation consists of skills required to succeed in those environs: a combination of technical skills, communication, teamwork, ethics, and professionalism. Originally in 2017 and again in 2022, the Center for Cybersecurity Education and Leadership at Montreat College received the designation of Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD). Since receiving the CAE-CD designation, Montreat has added to its offerings a fully online BS in Cybersecurity and an Associate of Applied Science in cybersecurity. Montreat College also launched the Carolina Cyber Center (C3) to leverage the tremendous progress in cyber education and focus on workforce development and training. Our mission is to provide excellence in education and training for Western North Carolina and beyond. Currently, C3 now boasts numerous industry partners who see the need for training, certifications, and another pathway into high-demand positions in cybersecurity. Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for:
Teaching major courses in the Cybersecurity department determined by in accordance with the NSA CAE requirements, current industry needs, and subject expertise determined by the candidate's background. Ability to lead academic Cybersecurity research and teach Data Analytics strongly preferred.

Professional experience and industry certifications in Cybersecurity preferred and will be considered a part of the professional credentialing in the absence of a doctorate. Mountain Empire Community College invites applications for a pool of adjunctinstructors to teach in the Division of Engineering and Industrial Technology. Instructors sought for welding, electrical, mechatronics, HVAC, police science, environmental science, student development, machinist, and CAD. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education, and are expected to make significant contributions to the M.S. program in Engineering Physics. Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to creating a supportive environment for students in teaching and research. Candidates are expected to develop a research program that, in addition to involving undergraduate and M.S. students, can attract external funding, and develop collaborations within the department. ABD with reduction in rank and salary: ABD will be considered for this position. Evidence of successful defense of the dissertation must be received by July 31 for a fall hire or November 30 for a spring hire. If confirmation of defense is not provided by the deadline, the candidate will receive a new one-year fixed-term contract and be hired at the rank of Instructor. The candidate's salary will also be reduced to a lower rate commensurate with other full-time instructors in the same department. However, if degree verification is provided before the end of the one-year fixed-term contract, the candidate will be returned to the rank of assistant professor with commensurate compensation beginning July 1 of the following academic year.
No ABD consideration: Only candidates with an earned doctorate or terminal degree from an accredited institution will be considered for the position. Since ABD will not meet the minimum requirements, ABD will not be considered.
