Responsibilities of this position includes teaching graduate-level Mathematics courses and advising graduate students on through their progress. The role also includes teaching some undergraduate Mathematical courses as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should have a doctoral degree or highest degree appropriate from an accredited institution in Mathematics or a related discipline and must have a demonstrated record of exceptional achievements in research, teaching, mentoring and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience working in one or several research areas that complement the existing research focus of the mathematics department.

The Mathematics Department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in pure, and several branches of applied mathematics. Currently, there are 40 faculty members, 9 postdoctoral scholars, and over a hundred graduate students specializing in pure, applied and computational mathematics, financial mathematics, biomathematics, and data science. There is a significant interaction among faculty members, postdocs, and students in all these areas of mathematics, as well as with other units within FSU.

Responsibilities Provide visionary leadership to the Master of Occupational Therapy program, including curriculum development, program evaluation, and strategic planning; Ensure the program meets and exceeds ACOTE accreditation standards and institutional policies; Supervise and mentor faculty in the program, including facilitating faculty development opportunities; Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students, ensuring their academic and professional growth; and, oversee the recruitment, admission, and retention of students to meet enrollment goals.
Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare facilities, community organizations, and professional associations to enhance clinical education opportunities; Manage program budget, resources, and operational planning effectively; Serve as the primary liaison to ACOTE and manage all aspects of the accreditation process, including submission of reports and responses; Teach courses within the program and engage in scholarly activities relevant to the field of occupational therapy; Participate in service activities at the department, school, and university levels; and, monitor and enhance student preparation for licensure exams, focusing on strategies to achieve and maintain high pass rates.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field (e.g., PhD, EdD, OTD).
Initial certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Recommended Competencies
Microsoft Office Suite, statistical software, computer-based learning platforms(such as Black Board and Canvas), and high level written and verbal communication skills; and,
Responsible for compliance with all confidentiality laws and polices pertaining to US Federal Government, State of Florida and Florida A&M University.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Florida. A minimum of 8 years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy, including: Clinical practice as an occupational therapist; Academic teaching and curriculum development in an occupational therapy program; Administrative experience, such as program director, assistant/associate director, or similar leadership roles; Demonstrated experience in achieving and maintaining successful licensure pass rates for occupational therapy students; Evidence of scholarship, professional involvement, and service to the profession; Experience with ACOTE accreditation processes, including self-studies and site visits; Strong record of leadership and collaborative skills; Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in academia and practice; and, experience integrating innovative technologies into teaching and clinical practice.
Licenses and Certifications
Must be licenced to work in the State of Florida. Any certifications in the field will be reviewed favorably.
Pay Plan
This is a Faculty position.
