Emory University's Department of Otolaryngology seeks one (1) full-time Comprehensive/General Otolaryngologist at the rank of Assistant Professor to join a robust team. Each position will have primary duties at Emory Lagrange in Lagrange, GA.
The employee will have an appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor is anticipated, depending upon the candidate's qualifications. The highly motivated team has long been actively involved in academic, research, and professional endeavors at the national and international levels. Opportunities to teach medical students, residents and fellows, and participate in scholarly activities. Duties will include patient care, resident and fellow teaching, and academic productivity. Applicants must be Board Certified or Board Eligible and will have a university appointment.

Job Summary
Columbus State University is inviting applications for part-time faculty within the Interdisciplinary Studies program. Primarily focused on the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (BSIS) program and housed within the Honors College, the BSIS serves a wide audience. This includes some of our highest achieving students who are customizing their education to those who have changed majors, transferred, and/or are returning to education as life-long learners.
Responsibilities include teaching online courses that make up the BSIS curriculum. Depending on the qualifications of the instructor, this could include ITDS 2791 (Interdisciplinary Pathways), ITDS 2792 (Information Literacy and Critical Analysis), ITDS 2793 (Interdisciplinary Research and Careers). It could also include the program's portfolio-focused ITDS 4901 (Interdisciplinary Capstone Proposal) and ITDS 4902 (Interdisciplinary Capstone). All of these courses are intentionally offered to be flexible for students and are offered during the traditional Fall, Spring, and Summer terms, as well as half-term, 8-week modalities.
Responsibilities
* Follow approved syllabi and curriculum outline/course templating as provided by the Program Coordinator.
* Teach assigned online course(s).
* Present material in an engaging and positive fashion.
* Maintain an online classroom environment conducive to learning.
* Respond to student communication and provide constructive and robust feedback in a timely manner based on rubrics provided.
* Support student success.
* Evaluate student progress.
* Reach out to students who are struggling or are high-risk.
* Refer students to appropriate program sources for information on both the BSIS and other student services.
* Maintain student records and grades in the online learning management system (LMS).
* Post grades within established deadlines.
* Adhere to and meet all established university and accreditation (SACSCOC) instructional policies, guidelines, and standards.
