Methodology for Ranking Nevada’s Toughest Job Markets
To analyze job opportunities in Nevada, we concentrated on the largest cities with populations exceeding 5,000. This approach allowed us to evaluate 100 cities based on various employment criteria.
Each city was ranked on multiple factors, with a score of 1 indicating the most challenging conditions for job seekers. We then calculated the average rank across all metrics, with the city achieving the lowest overall score being designated as the “Most Challenging City in Nevada for Job Seekers.”
After analyzing the data, Schurz emerged as the city with the most significant challenges for job seekers in Nevada. While the overall job market in the state is improving, these cities continue to face obstacles in employment opportunities.
