Yes, Bashas drug tests all potential hires and sometimes randomly drug tests current employees. In addition to passing a drug screening, all job candidates must pass a pre-employment aptitude test and a background check to be considered eligible for employment with Bashas.

In some instances, Bashas will only drug test potential employees for roles in:

Management
Ones that involve the operation of heavy machinery
Positions that have strict safety protocols

However, the company is known to drug screen job candidates that are applying for all different types of positions as well. When Bashas does drug test job candidates and current employees, it uses a urine test to screen for drugs. This is performed at a third-party medical facility of the company's choosing.

The drug test used is typically a standardized five-panel urine test. This can detect the five most commonly abused drugs and substances:
