Yes, FINRA drug tests all job candidates. FINRA also requires an extensive background check for all potential hires, and a drug screening is a part of this process.

The company requires a drug screening for all potential hires and does ask current employees to submit to a drug test in certain circumstances. FINRA asks candidates to take a urine drug test at an independent lab in order to be considered eligible for employment.

FINRA also requests a drug test for employees that are under suspicion of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while working. They have a very strict drug-free workplace policy, and this is reflected through the required drug screening in the hiring process and the chance of random drug tests for current employees.

FINRA uses a full-panel drug test to screen for substances. Here are the substances that are screened for in a full-panel drug test:

If an employee exhibits signs of being intoxicated or addicted to drugs while on the job, a drug test is requested. If the results indicate drug use, FINRA may take disciplinary actions against the employee, including termination.
