Does Guitar Center drug test?
Yes, Guitar Center drug tests. They only drug test, however, if you are applying to work in the distribution center. If you are looking to work as a sales associate or guitar instructor, then you will most likely not be asked to take a drug test.
Guitar Center is a leading retailer of musical instruments, equipment, and accessories, with over 300 stores across the United States. To keep with their rock and roll image, they do not require their retail staff to be drug tested.
If you are working around heavy machinery or driving a truck, however, then you will be required to not only take a pre-employment drug test but also be randomly drug tested once hired. Distribution workers can expect to take either a saliva or urine test, which looks for marijuana, cocaine, amphetamines, opiates, and phencyclidine (PCP).
Guitar Center does not mention anything about their policy regarding the use of regular cigarettes, as well as chewing tobacco, electronic cigarettes, smokeless tobacco, vapes, or any other variations other than the fact that they can not be used while inside the store.
