Yes, Hireright drug tests. As a leading background check company that provides employment screening services for companies and organizations, they like to lead by example. They require a pre-employment drug screening as part of the hiring process and have the right to drug test any employee as they fit.
HireRight asks all candidates to complete a 5-panel urine drug test that looks for five types of drugs: marijuana, amphetamines, opioids, cocaine, benzodiazepines, and barbiturates. The test is typically performed by a third-party testing company and can take several days for the results.
In states where marijuana is legalized or for people who have a medical marijuana card, then Hireright will take each candidate on a case-by-case basis. In some situations, they may ask you to come back in a month and retake the test.
HireRight does not have a policy regarding tobacco use other than it is not allowed inside the office, company vehicles, or anywhere where customers are in eyesight.
