Yes, Roche does drug test potential hires and drug tests current employees in some instances. Roche uses a urine test to screen candidates for drugs. This is performed at a third-party medical facility of the company's choosing.
All drug tests used by a third-party lab are standardized five-panel urine tests. This can detect the five most commonly abused drugs and substances:
- Cannabis

- Opiates
- Amphetamine
- PCP
The company also holds the right to use other drug tests on its employees, such as hair tests.
