Yes, Volt drug tests potential hires and sometimes drug screens current employees. Drug screening is a part of the company's pre-clearance review for each job candidate. The process will be initiated after the candidate has formally accepted a job offer and instructions will be provided at that time.
Failure of a drug screen means you are not eligible for employment with the company.
Volt asks all potential hires to submit to a urine drug test during the hiring process. Current employees that are involved in a workplace accident are also required to take a drug test.
In addition, employees suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while working are also required to submit to a drug screening. Once an employee of Volt, the company reserves the right to conduct random drug tests if they deem reasonable suspicion or if the employee is involved in an accident.
