What do you need to become a medical screener?
To become a medical screener, you need a high school diploma or GED and the ability to communicate and obtain information as needed. There are ways to improve your chances of landing an entry-level medical screener position or help you advance in your career, including earning a six-month to a two-year degree.
Depending on the type of position, some employers will provide on-the-job training that can last anywhere from two weeks to six months. Another option is to earn a two-year associate's degree in nursing assistant, medical assistant, or paramedic training.
