What is a CCRC certification?

By Zippia Team - Dec. 9, 2022

Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) certification formally recognizes clinical research professionals with experience coordinating and facilitating clinical trial activities. This certification represents proficiency in specific skills and knowledge proven via a standardized CCRC certification.

Becoming CCRC certified includes work experience hours or a combination of experience and education. For working professionals, you need to have at least 3,000 hours of work experience to qualify for the exam. Similarly, you can have 1,500 working hours and hold a degree in clinical research.

The examination price starts at $435 for members of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), the organization that presents the exam. The certification is good for two years, and you will be required to complete continued education for certification renewal.
