What should a business analyst put on a resume?

By Zippia Team - Mar. 3, 2022

A business analyst should put mathematical/programming knowledge, commercial awareness, and soft skills on a resume. These skills should all be supported with quantifiable achievements.

Business analysts generate solutions for businesses. They must have extensive organizational and market-based knowledge. Accordingly, business analysts often work their way up to the position within a company, starting out in a more junior role first.

A business analyst should include all of their formative experience, listing specific achievements under each job description and commercial and software knowledge under the skills sections of their resume.

Do not belay the soft skills you have acquired throughout your professional tenure either, as these are often what will set you apart from the pack. Be sure to demonstrate your problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills on your business analyst resume as well.
