What skills do you put on a student resume?

By Zippia Team - Oct. 20, 2021

You should put both hard skills (abilities you've learned through instruction) and soft skills (personal characteristics that make you a good worker) on a student resume. Utilizing both will give your potential employer an idea of what kind of employee you'll be and what you excel at.

Hard skills are specific abilities or capabilities that can be demonstrated in a measured way. Examples of hard skills include proficiency in WordPress, data analysis, clinical experience, sales experience, editing, recruitment training, and graphic design.

On the other hand, soft skills are generally interpersonal qualities and character traits. Examples of soft skills include customer service skills, attentional to detail, punctuality, enthusiasm, and experience with collaboration.
