Who owns Axiom?
C5 Capital owns Axiom. The company is led by co-founder and President/CEO Michael Suffredini, who served as NASA's International Space Station Program Manager from 2005 to 2015 and oversaw the Station's transition from assembly to operation and commercial utilization.
Kam Ghaffarian is Axiom's other co-founder. He is a businessman known as the founder of Axiom Space, IBX, Intuitive Machines, and X-energy.
Axiom was selected by NASA to provide the first commercial destination module on the International Space Station. The company also announced a contract with SpaceX to fly commercial astronauts to the International Space Station via Falcon 9 and Crew Dragon.
Axiom has 350 employees as of 2022, with offices located in Houston and Los Angeles. It is known as one of the ten largest privately held U.S. space technologies companies.
