GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages event logistics, supervises event services & relocation staff in the setting up and taking down of campus events which includes but not limited to banners, directional signage, furniture, tables and chairs, stages and equipment for interior and exterior college events. Being a point of contact for vendors and contractors such as food trucks, gaming vendors or contracted movers. Instructing the contractor on what jobs need to be completed and the time frame in which it needs to be completed. Manages inventory of furniture, equipment and materials used in event set-ups. Essential Role Responsibilities
WORK PERFORMED
* Responsible for fully supervising facility event services staff and managing inventory for interior and exterior college events.
* Acts as the Facilities Services representative in the coordination of campus-wide student sponsored special events requiring Facilities Services equipment or assistance. Manages the overall set-up/take down for such campus events; addresses routine issues and problems.. Refers complex matters to appropriate personnel for handling; follows-up to ensure work is completed and finished properly.
* Being point of contact for renovations projects for offices and classrooms requiring the relocation of assets etc.
* Responsible for supervising and performing furniture and equipment moves throughout campus for both informal (classes, professional development presentations, seminars) Main point of contact in all furniture move request.
* Develop PMs in the work order system for the monitoring of classroom inventory, make sure seating matches seating capacity. Periodically check classrooms for broken, worn or soiled inventory (tablet arm chairs, rolling chairs, desk, instructor stations) and replace with items that are safe and more presentable. Maintain integrity (furniture arrangement) of all campus lobbies and study areas e.g. sofas, chairs, tables, computer stations etc.
* Initiate meetings for the planning of projects relevant to Asset Relocation Request and Campus Wide Events.
* Supervises the storage, allocation, and set-up of special events equipment and accessories including: chairs, tables, linen, staging, flags, backdrops, lecterns, risers etc.
* Assesses and determines necessary furniture needed for each individual event; oversees the moving of tables and chairs from the storage building to the various rooms around campus to set up for facility use events and then take down and return.
* Maintains detailed inventory of furniture (tables and chairs), materials, and supplies used in the setup of events; responsible for making recommendations and determinations on what purchases need to be made.
* Responsible for publishing surplus inventory to HCC staff. If inventory is not used, responsible for determining what surplus furniture and equipment will be repurposed or discarded..
* Attends required Facilities Services meetings and training for supervisors. Advises staff on important issues and topics discussed during meetings. Acts in the role of essential personnel for emergencies.

Perform carpentry work, such as fitting doors, freeing windows, replacing and building shelves, sanding and refinishing floors.
Assist in custodial work, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning windows, etc. in common areas.
Assist in grounds work when necessary.
Repair concrete, masonry, roof, fencing, when required.
Perform limited extermination services, when required.
Train subordinate employees.
Participate in a standby emergency schedule for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
Be responsible for stock control and utilization of maintenance materials.

Role Description:
Supervisor, Utility Services supervises personnel and guides work processes, records management, data and technology integration, productivity and performance measures and evaluation, and logistical support for the water and sewer infrastructure repair and maintenance operations, work plans and program improvement efforts. Performs data evaluation, statistical analysis and directs the tracking, analyzing and reporting of work order activities for the purpose of documenting, evaluating, and reporting operational activities, including performance, productivity, cost of service, and work force utilization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Directs the program management process for work planning, scheduling, and work coordination to support the Water and Sewer infrastructure repair and replacement projects and system rehabilitation efforts.
Serves as a DC Water liaison to DDOT in the coordination of permit applications and processing and other DDOT provisions that are required to initiate and execute water and sewer emergency repairs and system maintenance and rehabilitation projects in public space.
Plans, monitors, and coordinates activities involved with the planning, scheduling, replacement and maintenance of distribution system assets in Water, Sewer and Customer Services in addition to contracted services.
Participates in the identification, development and management of databases and record management systems based on business requirements.
Facilitates and supports the workflow standardization and Maximo integration efforts to link the Water and Sewer Operations into the enterprise records management system.
Guides the planning, qualifying, setting parameters, coordinating and scheduling infrastructure repair, replacement activities with various stakeholders, including customers, outside agencies and contractors facilitating business requirements, such as DDOT permits, utility marking and other preliminary activities.
Supports strategic planning and innovation activities by analyzing policy, business processes, conducting benchmarking and research activities, and making recommendations.
Participates in the development of analytical models and tools for tracking and evaluating work order records management systems, including data collection, data maintenance, and data analysis and reporting.
Provides logistical support for maintaining and reassessing data collection, analysis, and reporting requirements in various functional areas, including strategic planning, performance measurement, project management, work standardization and automation.
Evaluates business processes, workflows, policies and procedures and provides recommendations to enhance operations and customer services.
Performs data research, data analysis, quality assurance, review, and evaluation on water and sewer operations, assets and inventories.

Works across functional groups to address senior management information needs, develop a wide range of reports identifying and interpreting trends on distribution system assets, work performance, and operations.
Provides support to other DC Water branches/departments with data analyses, data extracts and queries related to water and sewer service assets.
Prepare performance data and evaluation reports, as well as routine and special reports as required.

Job Summary
This Protective Services Hotline Supervisor provides leadership and oversight of staff responsible for receiving and screening referrals to the Child Protective Services (CPS) and Adult Protective Services (APS) Hotline. This position plays a vital role in ensuring timely, consistent, and effective responses to reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation in accordance with the Code of Virginia and departmental policies.
We're seeking an experienced and inspiring leader to supervise staff responsible for screening and determining the validity of both Child and Adult Protective Services referrals through the hotline. The ideal candidate is skilled at motivating and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates sound judgment in decision-making, and ensures timely and accurate responses to community concerns.
Core Responsibilities:
Supervise and support hotline staff handling CPS and APS referrals, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance.
Provide case consultation and guidance on assessing safety and risk, ensuring consistency in screening and documentation.
Monitor and analyze workflow to identify efficiencies and implement process improvements.
Oversee program documentation, case record reviews, and data entry in OASIS and related systems.
Maintain program compliance with all state, federal, and local mandates.
Address client concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
Develop staff skills through coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure effective service coordination.
Participate in the department's on-call rotation to provide leadership during after-hours emergencies.
This position is eligible for a $3,000 hiring bonus in accordance with the county's hiring and retention bonus program.
Hiring salary commensurate with experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field; four (4) years of directly related human services experience, including one (1) year of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or a related field
Clinical license (LCSW, LSW).
Proficiency with OASIS, Compass, and PeerPlace systems.
Experience working in local government.
Proven success in creating and implementing efficient processes that improve workflow and service delivery.
Experience supervising hotline or protective services staff.
Demonstrated expertise in APS and CPS intake policies, procedures, and best practices.
Bilingual.
