Primary Responsibilities: * Complete enrollment process with new Street Outreach clients; conduct required individual assessments and complete goal plans as needed; provide follow-up support as needed to reach goals. * Complete required assessments to place homeless youth on the housing priority list. * Build rapport and establish trust with homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth. Ensure a Strength-Based Treatment approach is utilized with clients. * Deliver tangible items to clients as needed, including but not limited to food, hygiene items, safe sex kits, and clothing. * Distribute written information, participate in community events and facilitate community presentations about the Street Outreach Program in an effort to reach the target population. * Attend meetings in the community with participants as needed. * Assist with the development and implementation of community service learning and other events for clients as assigned. * Responsible for making decisions in a timely manner; independently determining next steps related to youth services for housing, medical, education, social and emotional supports; monitor and ensure youth receive identified, necessary resources for quality services. * Provide coverage as needed in the Drop-in Center and conducting street outreach. * Keeps supervisor informed of events, concerns, needs as appropriate. * Work as a partner in the community to build new relationships with community members such as mentors, potential employers, other community resources and funding sources on behalf of the youth the program serves. * Develop and maintain knowledge of programs in the St. Louis area that could be used as resources for youth. * Create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by funder contracts. * Record client data, outcome measurement and other significant information into ETO and other required database systems in a timely manner to show the effectiveness of the Street Outreach program. * Ensure program complies with accreditation and funder standards. * Adhere to agency rules, policies, and procedures, including attendance, program/department-specific procedures, workplace safety, code of conduct, social media, training requirements, and confidentiality. Supervisory Responsibilities: May supervise student interns and volunteers. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in social work, drug and alcohol education, counseling, psychology, sociology, education, or criminal justice. * Experience with runaway, homeless, at-risk, and foster care youth is preferred. * Valid driver's license, dependable personal transportation, and valid auto insurance * Age 21 years or older Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Strong oral and written communication skills, including speaking to diverse audiences * High level of integrity and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner * Basic knowledge of dealing with the older youth population, dealing with crisis intervention, resource sharing, and client needs. * Proficiency in MS Office, Email, Word, & Excel Physical Demands: The physical requirements of this job include sitting, standing, walking, and climbing stairs on a regular basis, lifting up to 25lbs, and pulling and/or pushing on occasion Work Environment: Work is community-based and performed on-site.
