As a member of the College Counseling team, the College Counselor reports to the Director of College Counseling & Alumni Advising and will have primary day-to day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring all aspects of a student's college discernment process. ANTICIPATED START DATE June 15, 2026 RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Guide and assist students and parents through the entire college and financial aid application process • Design and teach College Counseling Advisory classes that support the college counseling process • Support the planning and implementation of workshops for parents and students on key topics related to the college admissions and financial aid processes (on occasion, for faculty/staff) • Ensure students take advantage of special opportunities made available to low-income and/or first-generation college students in the college search process • Establish and maintain relationships with college representatives on behalf of the school and the students • Coordinate college representative visits to CRCHS and college fairs • Coordinate logistics for on-campus college experiences • Data management, transcript retrieval, and application materials submission via the SCOIR system • Actively research all aspects of college counseling: financial aid, scholarships, applications, and standards • Support the work of the College Department and team with office initiatives and projects • Attend required staff development and training sessions throughout the year QUALIFICATIONS ● A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year educational institution ● Spanish fluency preferred but not required ● Experience guiding high school students and families through the college admissions process is strongly preferred but not required ● Understanding of the barriers to access to college for low income and/or first-generation students ● Strong written and communication skills; detail-oriented; team player; ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment ● Relentless focus on results, high-level accountability, and willingness to do “whatever it takes” ● Experience building rapport and trust with people from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds ● Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and ability to work with SCOIR ● Demonstrated commitment to the mission of the Cristo Rey Network and model ● Understand and support the mission of Cristo Rey Columbus as a private, independent, Catholic school under the endorsement of the Catholic Diocese of Columbus TO APPLY ● Please submit a cover letter and resume via email to Ashley Grasinger at ************************* ● Submitting official college transcripts, a background check and attendance at a Protecting God's Children session will be required prior to employment

Being an Admissions Ambassador is the best way to connect with prospective Oberlin students! Ambassadors are asked to host prospective students in their dorms for overnight visits as well as appear on panels, help visitors find their way across campus, and connect with prospective students virtually. Responsibilities * Host students in on-campus housing at least twice per semester * Compensation is equal to $28 (2 hours of work) per prospective student assigned per night * Represent Oberlin students on panels and at on-campus events during programs like All Roads Lead to Oberlin * Outreach to applicants and prospective students virtually * Opportunities for more on-campus student interactions may include lunch visits to dining halls and accompanying students to class visits or campus events Qualifications Must live on campus All students are eligible to apply regardless of year (first-years are encouraged to apply) Desired Qualifications: Experience with a variety of Oberlin programs such as the conservatory, athletics, and/or student organizations; prior experience with the Office of Admissions (Tour Guide, ASAC member, etc). This seasonal, independent contractor role is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, promotions, and social media engagement-all while getting paid $20.00 per hour! WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR: + Current Student - You must currently attend The Ohio State University. + Event Availability - Must be able to attend the majority of scheduled on-campus events. + Social Media Savvy - Comfortable navigating Instagram and TikTok, with an active presence on at least one platform. Experience in social media marketing is a plus! + Professional & Personable - Confident, well-presented, and great at interacting with fellow students. WHAT YOU'LL DO: + Promote Jostens Campus Events: + Arrive early to help set up. + Hand out marketing materials to attract students to the Jostens booth. + Facilitate ring try-ons and encourage students to make a purchase. + Create Social Media Buzz: + Produce two videos promoting each event. + Create a video 7 days before the event, including information about the location, time, and why students should attend the event. + Create another video at the event, showing all the products students can check out. + Highlight event details (location, time, and why students should attend). + Submit the video to our Ambassador Specialist for brand approval (one round of edits may be required).
