The Role:
The Assistant Project Manager works with the Project Managerin running the day-to-day project management operations on the job.
Responsibilities:
Log-in and track Contracts & Purchase Orders
Use experience and judgment to price, approve and/or reject Project Change Orders, Submittals, and respond to Requests for Information
Log-in, track and review shop drawings and submittals and respond to Requests for Information
Request Insurance Certificates from subcontractors to review for compliance with the Company's insurance requirements
Create and update Vendor and Subcontractor Contact Log
Price and create Proposed Change Orders
Submit, track response and issue Requests for Information
Responsible for managing the building permit process and resolving any issues related thereto
Plan revision submissions to municipality
Work with Company Attorneys on contracts, Insurance Certificates, Insurance discrepancies & Contract modifications
Act as a liaison with subcontractors to resolve any disputes, questions, or issues related to subcontractor's work and progress.
Assist with Project Schedule Narratives
Take Weekly Video and distribute to General Manager
Create Weekly Meeting Minutes - Owner's and Subcontractors meetings
Set up coordination meetings with Subcontractors
Distribute revised drawings to Subcontractors
Using best judgment, write up descriptions for Purchase Orders and Subcontract Requests
Responsible for obtaining and tracking Subcontractor warranty certificates
Responsible for creating close-out manuals
Conducts training for OSHA 10 or 30 Hour, HAZWOPER, and other Safety related topics
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline
2+ years of related experience or completion of Suffolk's Career Start Program as a Project Engineer or Project Engineer with another firm
The ability to manage and embrace change. Respond and adapt to new processes and new ways of looking at old problems

Job DescriptionCommercial Superintendent - Portage, MI DISHER is partnering with a local construction company to identify a Commercial Superintendent to join their team in Portage, MI. The Commercial Superintendent provides management oversight for the construction phase of the project which includes ensuring work is proceeding on schedule while promoting and enhancing client relationships and the company image.

Develops and manages cost-effective project schedules and resource plans
Leads weekly subcontractor coordination and toolbox safety meetings
Creates and maintains 2-3 week look-ahead schedules
Oversees site logistics, including trailer delivery and setup
Selects, coordinates, and supervises subcontractors and trade contractors
Ensures adherence to architectural plans, specifications, and regulations
Manageconstruction contracts, permits, and licensing compliance
Supervises assistant managers and addresses safety or performance issues
Monitors and reports on project progress, timelines, and modifications
Enforces project safety, quality, scheduling, and resource control per company standards
What will make you successful:
Minimum of 5-7 years or more experience assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity
Bachelor's or Associate degree inConstructionManagement, Civil Engineering, or a related field helpful
Must have strong organization and leadership skills and a commitment to safety
Ability to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiency
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of people, both verbally and in writing
Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet
Technologically proficient with office software (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.) and constructionmanagement software (ProCore, MS Project, and Bluebeam)

Responsibilities
As a Construction Superintendent, your key responsibility will be to serve as a vital team member working closely with the Project Manager and the entire Project Team resulting in completion of the project on time, under budget, and with quality that exceeds the expectations of F.A. Wilhelm and our Clients.
A. Personnel
* Determine field personnel needs and assign work based on the project.
* Supervise, coordinate, and schedule activities of field personnel and subcontractors.
* Plan and coordinate all phases of the project with Project and Operations Managers.
* Inspect, approve, and report all labor time.
B. Safety
* Monitor jobsite safety and take appropriate action to address and correct safety deficiencies.
* Conduct weekly "Toolbox Talks" and maintain all associated reports.
* Investigate and report any accident or incident to Risk Management, Corporate Safety Director, and Project Manager.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations including safety, health, and welfare.
C. Jobsite
* Train field personnel inconstruction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies.
* Create and accurately maintain cost/labor reports, maintain field P.O.'s and rental logs.
* Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and machinery are properly maintained. Arrange for repairs/replacements, as necessary.
* Routinely inspect the construction site and work progress to maintain compliance with contract specifications along with company quality and safety standards.

Summary
The Project Engineer provides technical support to the field and office teams under the supervision of their Project Manager. The Project Engineer will have the opportunity to be involved in the entire job life cycle. This role will have the opportunity to work in the office aiding the Project Managerin directing and coordinating the drywall and steel stud framing activities in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The Project Engineer will develop a baseline understanding of budgets, plans schedules, invoices, contracts, and change orders. This is an entry-level role, with the ability to grow if the candidate is willing to travel to other projects.
Essential Functions
Primary Responsibilities/Duties
Assist Project Manager and Superintendent from the beginning of a project thorough closeout.
Attend pre-construction meetings and weekly job walks to understand the complete scope while ensuring safety, quality and productions are being met.
Maintain a strong knowledge of the projects and work to exceed set standards.
Use effective communication with internal and external customers.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all pertinent information is provided; proactive communication with field leaders on bid productions and other preconstruction related information to maintain consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Coordinate site logistics with the client to ensure we are meeting/exceeding production goals.
Review production reports and address any discrepancies with the regional Foreman and Superintendent.
Process purchase orders and field work tickets.
Assist with preparing submittal package.

Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook.
Ability to read and comprehend complex documents construction documents i.e., blueprints.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree; ConstructionManagement, Business, or a related field.
