This planning role is responsible for supporting finished goods planning for diagnostic equipment and spare parts, enabling accurate supply-demand alignment, inventory optimization, and production scheduling. This role drives significant impact by ensuring timely product availability and supporting operational efficiency across Leica Biosystems' global planning network.
This position reports to the Director, Instrument Planning and is part of the Global Supply Chain Planning Team located in Richmond, IL, and will be onsite.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Manage daily planning activities to meet key deliverables such as On-Time Delivery and Inventory Value, ensuring alignment between supply and demand.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement countermeasures using structured problem-solving methods to resolve planning and delivery issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate lead times and ensure timely fulfillment of customer orders.
Maintain and update planning data in SAP, including item master information and planning parameters, in coordination with Buyer/Planners.
Support continuous improvement by developing and validating work instructions and planning tools, and managing material movements such as scrapping and internal use of finished goods.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, operations, business, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in supply chain planning or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional and global teams.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Planning for finished goods in a regulated industry such as medical devices or life sciences.
Supporting or participating in S&OP or PSI processes.

The annual salary range for this role is $75,000 to $95,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Manufactures optical components in a production environment by loading and aligning components on fabrication machines and reviewing and modifying setup parameters.
Prepares equipment for operation by positioning and securing polishing heads, preparing tooling, and preparing and monitoring polishing slurries.
Maintains in-process specifications and controls and determines sequence of operations based on work instructions.
Measure's part dimensions using various tools including micrometers and height gauges.
Monitors manufacturing processes and works with engineering to evaluate and implement process improvements.
Ensures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment.
Education & Experience
High school diploma is required. The ideal candidate will have completed 2 years of college or a trade school program.
5-7 years of experience working in an advanced manufacturing field is required. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience in optical fabrication.
Previous experience operating precision hand tools such as micrometers and calipers are required.
Understanding of basic shop math such as ratios, graphs, algebra, and basic geometry.
Candidate must be able to perform frequent and sustained standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and have sufficient visual acuity for reading computer screens and hard copy documents.

**The Role**
We are looking for a Principal Engineer with an extensive engineering background, experience using a variety of developer tools and technologies, and who is passionate about developer productivity. **Minimum Qualifications (Must-Have)**
+ 7+ years of experience or proven record of defining and executing technical strategy that required coordination across multiple teams, senior executives, and front-line engineers
+ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent work experience
+ Experience driving consensus on a multi-functional effort using influence without authority
+ Experience in designing and implementing large scale systems
+ Considerable experience in working with container orchestration systems (eg. Kubernetes)

The Account Executive- Advanced Hemostasis and Healing will:
Own the full bag of Ethicon offerings of comprehensive surgical devices and solutions including the hemostasis, energy sealing and dissection, surgical stapling and wound closure platforms. The Account Executive - AHH will have a focus on growing our hemostasis and wound closure platforms
