As a Summer Camp Educator, you will work closely with Summer Camp Assistant in the Learning & Engagement Department and the Summer Camp Lead Teachers in their assigned classrooms. Summer Camp Educators provide campers with a safe, creative, inclusive, and fun learning experience. If you share our passion for creativity and community building, we encourage you to apply! Schedule: Summer camps for kids will run from June 8-August 7, 2026. Staff in this position are expected to be available for all 8 remaining weeks of the camp season, in addition to four days of training June 2-5, 2026. Programs are designed to augment the knowledge, skills and attitudes of assigned staff including continuing education, in-service education, continued competence training, or new information based on unit/department needs, organization initiatives/goals and policy revisions. Develops, incorporates, and implements evidence-based plans in collaboration with content experts, representatives of target audiences, and other stakeholders to support interprofessional/team coordination of care across the continuum. Assists with students and practicing nurses to identify their learning needs, strengths, and opportunities and develops learning activities to grow skill sets based on learning needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of educational activities. NPD Practitioner may assist others in their professional role development, practice role transitions, and succession planning. Supports the preceptor program and provides support at the unit level to the preceptor. Promotes certification and advanced formal education. Promotes a supportive environment for students by collaborating with academic partners for student placement and a positive student experience. Implements the nursing professional development (NPD) initiatives demonstrating caring behaviors, respect, equity, inclusiveness and empathy in actions and interactions with others. Identifies opportunities for collaboration/partnership related to education and clinical practice. Effectively communicates and collaborates with relevant stakeholders related to professional development activities. Serves as a resource for clinical inquiry process, including identification of potential projects, and/or subject matter expertise. Demonstrates a "spirit of inquiry" to support professional curiosity including research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives using the organization's preferred structure, i.e. PDSA (plan, do, study, act). Works with others to identify problems and solutions and collaboratively create and assists in the implementation of the changes planned. Creates a supportive environment for nursing research, scientific inquiry, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. Disseminates evidence-based practice findings through educational programs, courses, and other activities.
