Job Description AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer II to support the planning, design, and delivery of BRT and LRT projects nationally. The successful candidate will bring a collaborative mindset to support AECOM's growing Transit-Rail practice. In this role you will support the Austin, TX, Houston, TX, or New Orleans, LA Office. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Support efforts for BRT projects, including roadway design, drainage design, maintenance of traffic, station design, civil/site grading, and transit signal priority systems. * Support multidisciplinary teams through all project phases-from conceptual design through construction. * Ensure compliance with FTA guidelines, local agency standards, and applicable codes. * Coordinate with transit agencies, municipalities, and stakeholders to ensure project success. * Mentor entry engineers and foster a culture of innovation and technical excellence. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * BA/BS + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university * Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation. * Experience with transit infrastructure design, including LRT, BRT, and commuter rail. * Familiarity with transit agencies and regional transportation priorities. * Experience in engineering project delivery, including design and construction phases. * Strong understanding of engineering standards, permitting, and regulatory processes. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
