In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Research, source, and apply new technologies in an assembly/manufacturing environment, with a focus on automation. Specify, procure, and approve injection molds, jigs, fixtures, and other specialty equipment. Locate new sources for injection molds and other needed components and technology. Collaborate with vendors, design and manufacturing engineering, supply chain and other departments to ensure timely implementation of new product equipment, fixtures and associated machinery. Work with design and manufacturing teams to ensure standard methods of assembly are utilized to maximize productivity and profitability through all phases of design and development. Lead a team of engineering professionals, both direct and indirect, across multiple business locations. Delegate, coach and train team members. Support justification of new capital equipment and processes, driving efficiency improvements within the production process. Work as part of the New Product Development team, bringing a design for manufacturing and automation approach.
