Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of engineering and design department to design fire sprinkler systems by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate personnel. Further, incumbent has responsibility to supervise, motivate, guide and direct the design staff and to provide the proper working relationship between the design department and all other departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Directs department activities and coordinates all schedules to design new fire sprinkler/suppression systems.
* Provide technical oversight and review of sprinkler drawings, calculations, fabrication lists, and other pertinent deliverables.
* Support Designers in the coordination with the MEP teams and General Contractors for BIM (Building Information Modeling), utilizing current programs.
* Resolves problems using solutions that involve new techniques, technologies, or concepts.
* Confers with management, production, and installation staff to determine engineering feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing systems.
* Provides guidance and support on code interpretation as well as first level plan review.
* Provide training and coaching for the development of individual designers.
* Recruiting and staffing to meet design needs for the growth of the business.
* Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve operations, and develops recommendations accordingly.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 8 to 12 employees, possibly more, in the Engineering Design Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Cosco Fire Protection's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or eight to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of CAD Design software; i.e. SprinkCad, AutoSprink, HydroCad, etc., and BIM Programs such as Navisworks, Revit, etc.
