Marilyn Midyette is the Chief Executive Officer of the William & Mary Alumni Association. As CEO, Marilyn is the leader of the university’s overall alumni engagement efforts and is the senior member of the advancement leadership team ensuring all alumni of the college are properly engaged, involved, represented, and encouraged to be active and informed about the activities of the university and the William & Mary Alumni Association. She and her team are responsible for developing strategies and instituting programs, communications, and services that serve all alumni, generate interest, and encourage sustained involvement with the college. Prior to joining the University Advancement team, Ms. Midyette was CEO of the Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta, one of the ten largest councils in the country serving a membership of 63,000 committed to leadership development for girls and young women. Working alongside volunteers, board, and staff, Ms. Midyette led the organization through significant growth successfully accomplishing a number of important initiatives including the consolidation of councils, conducting a capital campaign to build the organization’s first headquarters facility, implementing a state-of-the-art information systems network, increasing contributed income, growing girl membership and leading the organization through the important work of strategic planning. Ms. Midyette also spent over 18 years with Sprint holding a number of positions with increasing responsibility providing leadership direction for sales and marketing and incorporating matrix management responsibilities in the areas of product management, engineering and design, and customer support..
