We are seeking CrisisCounselors to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for providing 24-hour counseling services for consumers in need of emergency mental health services. Services include assessment of consumer functioning and implementation of appropriate short term treatment plan developed in tandem with consumer and designed to meet consumer short term physical and mental health needs. The CrisisCounselor works cooperatively with other community professionals to maintain consumer safety through assessments for general mental health, suicide, homicide, and ability to care for self.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between the consumer and other service organizations in providing and receiving referrals.
Provide 24-hour crisis intervention services.
Assess consumer mental health status and coordinate emergency services.
To assess for and implement Chapter 55 Protective Placements and subsequent placement at appropriate facilities when necessary after normal business hours for county Adult Protective Services.
Qualifications
Education:
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

The Crisis Professional (CP) provides crisis intervention, crisis counseling for individuals and families, referral and short-term follow-up, and collaborative community consultation, and education. Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay range from $29.91 to $31.70 for Bachelor's candidates and $33.00 to $35.93 for Masters candidates, depending on experience. In addition, there is $1.50/hr shift differential for 2:00pm-10:00pm hours and $2.50/hr shift differential for 10:00pm-6:00am hours.

The Stabilizer position is responsible for providing a wide array of culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive, direct clinical services in conjunction with other staff within the Emergency Service Unit teams along with outside community providers. CSI will assist with the day-to-day functioning of all activities related to the Crisis Stabilization Program.
Primary duties include assessing and coordinating the placements of clients, assessments, safety planning, and coordination of ORW support services, and transitional case management of persons stabilizing from a crisis. The position involves mobility throughout the community, working with police, hospitals, other JMHC programs, outside agency's and may require working irregular hours in keeping with the needs of the program. This position on the emergency services team involves working rotating shifts as needed, including evenings weekends and holidays in order to ensure that the clinical needs of the program are being met and to enable the program to operate 24 hours a day, seven days as week, 365 days a year.
The Stabilizer reports directly to the assigned supervisor with overall program supervision provided by the Director. Minimum annual service hours are 1,352.

A. Provision of Clinical Services
Performs accurate assessments to initially evaluate mental health, as well as alcohol and other drug use issues in a culturally sensitive, recovery oriented, trauma sensitive manner.
