Key Responsibilities
Drive branch sales performance through out-bound calls to potential and existing customers
Assist customers with their accounts (taking payment, addressing invoice concerns, updating contact information, reviewing cylinder balances, etc.)
Troubleshoot complex issues with customer processes/needs
Complete warehouse-related activities such as cycle counting, shipping and receiving of product
Support the branch delivery driver role via logistical support and sometimes back-up delivery driving

Position Summary
The Business Banking Specialist I is a full-time, non-exempt, non-officer position based onsite at our Grand Junction Headquarters. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well with the team. In this position, you will act as a personal banker for the branch's consumer and business customers, supporting their general day-to-day account needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Consistently deliver prompt, courteous and high-quality customer service.
Identify customer needs, recommend appropriate solutions, and engage in continuous problem solving.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive customer and proprietary data.
Assist in resolving customer service issues and ensure timely and satisfactory resolution.
Serve as the primary contact for morning duties, including customer phone calls regarding ACH returns, non-post items, chargebacks, red flags, VODs, and reviewing or scanning account documentation as required.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of core online banking products and provide troubleshooting support for common issues such as password resets, new account setup, and switch kits.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in person, by phone, and via email in a professional, efficient, and timely manner.
Maintain a strong understanding of consumer banking products and online banking platforms.
Serve as the primary representative for opening all walk-in personal deposit accounts and assist customers with inquiries regarding bank services.
Promote non-interest income products, including merchant services, credit card, and related offerings.
Have a basic knowledge of business accounts to support customer inquiries and referrals.
Attend and actively participate in required training sessions, including New Accounts, Risk Management, and other assigned programs.
Meet assigned performance goals (“rocks”) as established by the department supervisor.
Perform additional duties as skills develop and professional goals are met.
Required Knowledge and Expertise
High School Diploma or GED.
Colorado Notary.
Knowledge of banking services and products to offer solutions to meet our customers' needs.
Proven people, communication, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Team player with a strong, team-focused attitude.
Maintain a current knowledge of all regulations, including BSA, along with demonstrating a knowledge and understanding of the Bank's policies and procedures.
Continuing education to maintain job knowledge.
Career progression from BBSI to BBSII is based on demonstrated proficiency in all required skills, as well as the successful completion of applicable testing and/or tenure requirements.
A minimum of six months in the BBSI role is required for advancement consideration.

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
