Role Summary
As a Universal Banker at Associated Bank, you will deliver exceptional customer service while handling both teller transactions and new account openings. You will grow customer relationships, identify financial needs, and recommend solutions to help customers reach their goals. Key Accountabilities
Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and monetary instruments.
Acquire new and deepen existing customer relationships through proactive conversations and needs-based recommendations.
Open new accounts, ensure proper documentation, and identify cross-sell opportunities.
Respond to customer inquiries, resolve account issues, and provide onboarding and follow-up service.
Promote digital banking tools and demonstrate their use to enhance customer convenience.
Refer customers to partners in mortgage, investments, business banking, and other areas when appropriate.
Adhere to all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to protect the bank's financial interests.
Participate in training, complete required curriculum, and achieve banker certification for career advancement.
Education & Experience
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Less than 2 years of experience in a sales or goals-based environment with a strong customer service focus.
Preferred:
Experience in banking, financialservices, or cash-handling roles.
Familiarity with digital banking platforms and sales processes.

Audit, verify and revise student awards, communicating with students/agencies when appropriate.
Coordinate communication with all institutional partners who assist with the scholarship award process including Business Services, UWL Alumni & Friends Foundation, Residence Life, International Education and Engagement, Admissions Office, Graduate and Extended Learning, UWL First! Scholars, UWL Eagle Apprentices, McNair Scholars, FYRE Scholars, and others.
Create and maintain the spreadsheet of institutional nonresident tuition waivers.
Work closely with the Admissions Office in the scholarship awarding process, throughout the recruitment process.
Work closely with the UWL Alumni & Friends Foundation in the scholarship awarding process, throughout the award year.
Respond to all inquiries related to scholarships on behalf of the Financial Aid Office.
Oversee the management of the outside scholarship database.

What you'll do:
Greet members warmly and assist with their daily banking needs, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and account inquiries

Promote in-branch technology and assist members as needed

Availability:

Thursday - Noon to 5:45 p.m.
Friday - 7:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. or as many hours as possible
Saturday - 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Will require some flexibility within these hours, as needed.
After training has been completed, MSRs will join the Saturday morning rotation at the La Crescent office (2-3 Saturday's a month) from 7:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Pay and Benefits:
Starting hourly pay of $19.00 ($17.00 base plus $2 MSR premium)
When bilingual in Spanish or Hmong, receive a $1.00 per hour pay premium after completing and passing the language exam.
