After founding Florida Capital Bank Mortgage - a division of Florida Capital Bank - in 2006, I have worked as the President and CEO of the mortgage division for over 10 years. Most recently, I was promoted to President of the Bank itself.

I have spent over 40 years in the mortgage banking industry and surrounded myself with some of the best mortgage professionals in the industry to build a successful company which offers a boutique of services, and more importantly a fun place to work.

Prior to founding Florida Capital Bank Mortgage and Florida Bank Mortgage, I managed production and capital markets for HomeSide Lending, one of the perennial top ten mortgage lenders in the country for over 26 years. I have also served as a past chairman of the Secondary and Capital Markets Committee for the Mortgage Bankers Association, and a past Fannie Mae Southeast Regional and Residential Funding Corporation advisory board member.

Stewart Baker is a Managing Director, Banking; Chief Electronic Banking Officer at Florida Capital Bank and Chief Credit Officer at Florida Capital Bank and is based in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Washington and Lee University between 1964 and 1968 and University of North Florida.
